The Supreme Court has upheld a sentence of 12 years, six months, and one day in prison, confiscation of all assets, and a two-year ban from café management for Sadegh Saeedi-Nia, the manager of the "Saeedi-Nia" chain of cafés.

The Mizan News Agency, the media outlet of the judiciary, announced on Thursday, September 12, 1405, that this sentence was issued due to Saeedi-Nia's support for the protests in December 1404 and the closure of the affiliated businesses under this brand.

According to the judiciary's announcement, Sadegh Saeedi-Nia has been sentenced to 12 years, six months, and one day of imprisonment and the confiscation of all his movable and immovable assets in favor of the government on charges of "media and promotional activities against national security in favor of opposing groups."

The court has also sentenced him to a two-year ban from working in the café management profession after completing his prison term.

The judiciary has cited the publication of protest materials on Instagram, support for calls to action, the closure of cafés and stores in the chain, and encouraging employees to participate in protests as examples of his charges.

According to the indictment, Sadegh Saeedi-Nia has been tried on three charges, including "promotional or media activities against national security," "operational actions for opposing groups," and "promotional activities against the regime."

دیوان عالی کشور حکم ۱۲ سال و شش ماه و یک روز حبس، مصادره تمامی اموال و دو سال محرومیت از کافه‌داری برای صادق ساعدی‌نیا، مدیر کافه‌های زنجیره‌ای «ساعدی‌نیا»، را تایید کرده است.

خبرگزاری میزان، ارگان رسانه‌ای قوه قضاییه، روز پنج‌شنبه ۱۲ شهریور ۱۴۰۵ اعلام کرد این حکم به‌دلیل حمایت ساعدی‌نیا از اعتراضات دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ و تعطیل‌کردن واحدهای صنفی زیر مجموعه این برند صادر شده است.

براساس اعلام قوه قضاییه، صادق ساعدی‌نیا به اتهام «فعالیت رسانه‌ای و تبلیغی علیه امنیت کشور به نفع گروه‌های معاند» به ۱۲ سال و شش ماه و یک روز حبس تعزیری و مصادره تمامی اموال منقول و غیرمنقول خود به نفع دولت محکوم شده است.

دادگاه همچنین او را پس از پایان دوران حبس، به دو سال محرومیت از فعالیت در حرفه کافه‌داری محکوم کرده است.

قوه قضاییه انتشار مطالب اعتراضی در اینستاگرام، حمایت از فراخوان‌ها، تعطیل‌کردن کافه‌ها و فروشگاه‌های مجموعه و تشویق کارکنان به شرکت در اعتراضات را از مصادیق اتهامات او اعلام کرده است.

براساس کیفرخواست، صادق ساعدی‌نیا با سه عنوان اتهامی شامل «فعالیت تبلیغی یا رسانه‌ای برخلاف امنیت کشور»، «اقدام عملیاتی برای گروه‌های مخالف جمهوری اسلامی» و «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» محاکمه شده است.
