Vance: I am skeptical about the possibility of U.S. involvement in the attack on the wedding ceremony in Sirik

🔸The U.S. Vice President says investigations into the "claim of an attack on a wedding ceremony" in southern Iran are ongoing.

🔸J.D. Vance, who answered reporters' questions at the White House on Thursday, September 12, stated in response to a question on this matter: We do not yet have enough information, but the U.S. military "unlike the Revolutionary Guard" never targets civilians; however, there may sometimes be "mistakes."

🔸The former aide to Donald Trump further stated: The important point is that even in the event of a mistake, the U.S. armed forces "still unlike the Revolutionary Guard," learn from their mistakes to prevent such errors from happening again.

🔸Vance ultimately emphasized that investigations are ongoing and information is still incomplete, expressing that he is personally "skeptical" about the possibility of U.S. involvement in this incident.

🔸According to Iranian officials, during the U.S. attack on a wedding ceremony in Kohestak Sirik near the Strait of Hormuz on the evening of September 10, four people, including a child, were killed and dozens were injured.

🔸The U.S. Department of Defense has stated that it has been investigating the incident since March 9, 2025, regarding the attack on a girls' elementary school in Minab, but more than six months after the incident and despite pressure from Congress, it has not yet been willing to release the results of the investigation.

🔸Officials of the Islamic Republic claim that during the attack on the Shajareh Tayebeh school, over a hundred students, teachers, and family members of the students were killed.

🔸معاون رئیس‌جمهور ایالات متحده می‌گوید تحقیقات دربارۀ «ادعای حمله به یک مراسم عروسی» در جنوب ایران ادامه دارد.

🔸جی‌ دی ونس که روز پنجشنبه ۱۲ شهریور در کاخ سفید به پرسش‌های خبرنگاران پاسخ می‌داد، در پاسخ به سوالی در این زمینه گفت: هنوز اطلاعات کافی در اختیار نداریم اما ارتش ایالات متحده «بر خلاف سپاه پاسداران» هرگز غیر نظامیان را هدف قرار نمی‌دهد؛ اما گاهی ممکن است «اشتباهاتی» رخ دهد.

🔸معاون دونالد ترامپ در ادامه گفت: نکتۀ مهم این‌ است که حتی در صورت بروز اشتباه هم، نیروهای مسلح ایالات متحده، «باز هم بر خلاف سپاه پاسداران»، از اشتباهاتشان درس می‌گیرند تا چنین اشتباهاتی تکرار نشود.

🔸ونس در نهایت با تأکید بر این‌که تحقیقات ادامه دارد و هنوز اطلاعات کامل نشده، گفت شخصاً نسبت به احتمال نقش آمریکا در بروز این حادثه «بدبین» است.

🔸به گفتۀ مقام‌های ایرانی، در جریان حمله شامگاه ۱۰ شهریور آمریکا به یک مراسم عروسی در کوهستک سیریک در نزدیکی تنگهٔ هرمز، چهار تن از جمله یک کودک کشته و ده‌ها تن زخمی شدند.

🔸وزارت دفاع آمریکا از ۹ اسفند‌ ۱۴۰۴ و حادثۀ حمله به یک مدرسه ابتدایی دخترانه در میناب هم اعلام کرده که مشغول تحقیق است، اما بیش از شش ماه پس از حادثه و با وجود فشار کنگره، هنوز حاضر به انتشار نتیجۀ تحقیقات نشده است.

🔸مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی می‌گویند که در جریان حمله به مدرسه شجرۀ طیبه، بیش از یکصد دانش‌آموز،‌ معلم و اعضای خانواده‌های دانش‌آموزان کشته شدند.
