▪️ The PTE language test for residents of Iran has been canceled.

▪️ Pearson has also canceled all its tests for residents of Iran. They posted an announcement on the website this morning all of a sudden. The most notable ones for Iranians are the medical exam cancellation for Australia and the Ministry of Health of Oman, as well as the PTE language test.

▪️ A group of us doctors were trying to immigrate to Australia, and our exam cost was $3,000. Now it has been canceled without any specific explanation. Friends had booked hotels and flights to go to India to take the exam, and now they are saying it can't be done; you need to provide residency cards from another country.

The British institution "Pearson," which conducts the PTE English language test and the AMC (Australian Medical Council) exam, announced in a statement that due to new U.S. sanctions against Iran, it will cancel the exams for candidates residing in Iran.

Earlier, on September 7, 2026, several other organizers of foreign language proficiency tests, including Duolingo and TOEFL, announced that these tests would no longer be held in Iran.

In its announcement regarding the cancellation of the PTE exam, Pearson stated: "Following the suspension of 'General License G' by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) in the U.S. Department of the Treasury, from 12:00 AM on September 8, 2026, Eastern Time, we will not be able to schedule or conduct exams for candidates residing in Iran until further notice, unless they can provide proof of their primary residency outside of Iran."

The announcement continues: "Exams currently scheduled for candidates subject to this restriction will be canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused them."

The fate of many students intending to immigrate for the purpose of continuing their studies in European countries, the U.S., North America, and Australia will be affected by these actions.

مشهورترین‌هاش برای ایرانی‌ها امتحان مدیکال کانسیل استرالیا و وزارت بهداشت عمان هست.

خبر:
موسسه بریتانیایی «پیرسون» که برگزار کننده آزمون‌ زبان انگلیسی «پی‌تی‌ئی» و آزمون ای‌ام‌سی (شورای پزشکی استرالیا) است، در بیانیه‌ای اعلام کرد که به دلیل تحریم‌های جدید آمریکا علیه ایران، آزمون‌های داوطلبان ساکن ایران را لغو می‌کند.

پیشتر در تاریخ ۷شهریور۱۴۰۵، تعداد دیگری از برگزارکنندگان آزمون‌های مهارت‌های زبان‌های خارجی، از جمله دولینگو و تافل، اعلام کرده بودند که این آزمون‌ها دیگر در ایران برگزار نخواهد شد.

پیرسون در اطلاعیه‌ای درباره لغو آزمون پی‌تی‌ئی آورده است: «در پی تعلیق 'مجوز عمومی G' توسط دفتر کنترل دارایی‌های خارجی (OFAC) در وزارت دارایی آمریکا، از ساعت ۱۲:۰۰ بامداد هشتم سپتامبر ۲۰۲۶ به وقت شرق آمریکا تا اطلاع ثانوی، ما قادر به برنامه‌ریزی یا برگزاری آزمون برای داوطلبان ساکن ایران‌ نخواهیم بود، مگر آنکه بتوانند مدرکی دال بر اقامت اصلی خود در خارج از ایران ارایه کنند.»

در ادامه این اطلاعیه آمده است: «آزمون‌هایی که در حال حاضر برای داوطلبان مشمول این محدودیت برنامه‌ریزی شده‌اند، لغو خواهند شد. به‌خاطر این مشکل که برای آنها ایجاد شده، پوزش می‌طلبیم.»

سرنوشت شمار زیادی از دانشجویانی که قصد مهاجرت با هدف ادامه تحصیل به کشورهای اروپایی، آمریکا، آمریکای شمالی و استرالیا را دارند تحت تاثیر این اقدامات قرار خواهد گرفت.
