According to the Associated Press, Saudi officials announced that a wave of attacks by Iranian-backed Houthis on Saudi Arabia has injured 73 people in the early hours of Tuesday.

Major General Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen, stated that the Houthis targeted "civilian and economic facilities" in the cities of Abha, Jazan, Najran, and Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia.

He said the Saudi-led coalition would "take all necessary operational measures with utmost determination to deter the terrorist Houthi militias."

According to this American news agency, these attacks come amid escalating clashes between the Houthis and Yemeni government forces, which are supported by Saudi Arabia, over the past few weeks; clashes that have shattered a four-year ceasefire in Yemen's civil war.

به گزارش آسوشیتدپرس مقام‌های سعودی اعلام کردند موجی از حملات حوثی‌های مورد حمایت حکومت ایران به عربستان سعودی در ساعات اولیه روز سه‌شنبه، ۷۳ نفر را مجروح کرده است.

سرلشکر ترکی المالکی، سخنگوی ائتلاف به رهبری عربستان سعودی که در یمن می‌جنگد، گفت حوثی‌ها «تأسیسات غیرنظامی و اقتصادی» را در شهرهای ابها، جازان، نجران و خمیس مشیط در عربستان سعودی هدف قرار داده‌اند.

او گفت ائتلاف به رهبری عربستان سعودی «با نهایت قاطعیت، تمام اقدامات عملیاتی لازم را برای بازدارندگی شبه‌نظامیان تروریست حوثی» انجام خواهد داد.

به نوشته این خبرگزاری آمریکایی، این حملات در حالی صورت گرفته است که درگیری‌ها میان حوثی‌ها و نیروهای دولت یمن که مورد حمایت عربستان سعودی هستند، طی چند هفته گذشته تشدید شده است؛ درگیری‌هایی که آتش‌بس چهار ساله در جنگ داخلی یمن را از بین برده است.
