"Maulavi Mohammad Nazhti," a Sunni cleric and the imam of the Chiyane region in Piranshahr County, was killed in an armed attack.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps identified him as a cleric collaborating with the Basij and attributed the responsibility for Nazhti's death to what they called "Kurdish separatist groups" and "Zionist-American" forces.

According to this statement, Nazhti had a history of "long-term cooperation" with the "Basij of professors, students, and clerics." The IRGC also described his activities as supporting the Islamic Republic and what they referred to as "the unity of Shia and Sunni."

«ماموستا محمد نزهتی»، روحانی اهل سنت و امام جماعت منطقه چیانه در شهرستان پیرانشهر، در یک حمله مسلحانه کشته شد.

سپاه پاسداران او را از روحانیون همکار با بسیج معرفی کرده و مسئولیت کشته‌شدن نزهتی را متوجه آنچه «گروهک‌های تجزیه‌طلب کردی» و «صهیونیستی-آمریکایی» خوانده، کرده است.

براساس این بیانیه، نزهتی سابقه «همکاری طولانی» با «بسیج اساتید، طلاب و روحانیون» داشته است.
سپاه همچنین فعالیت‌های او را در راستای حمایت از جمهوری اسلامی و آنچه «وحدت شیعه و سنی» خوانده، توصیف کرده است.
