Brent crude oil prices reached $100 per barrel for the first time since July 24, once again entering the three-digit range.
The increase in oil and currency prices comes amid ongoing conflicts in the Persian Gulf and the region. On the evening of Tuesday, September 8, the United States announced that after the unsuccessful missile attacks by the Islamic Republic on two of its warships in the Persian Gulf, it had destroyed five oil tankers linked to the Revolutionary Guard.
