The President of the United States said on Wednesday, September 9, that in his view, the war with Iran will "immediately" end after the U.S. midterm elections.

Donald Trump, before heading to Dallas to attend a Republican Party conference, told reporters: "I think the war will end immediately after the elections. Because they (Iran) can no longer hold on."
Trump added about the situation in Iran: "They are desperate and trying to influence the elections."

In response to a question about the extensive attacks by both sides around the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said: "The attacks were carried out by us. We hit 9 of their oil tankers. More attacks are planned."

رئیس‌جمهور ایالات متحده روز چهارشنبه ۱۸ شهریور گفت که از دید او جنگ با ایران «بلافاصله» بعد از انتخابات میان‌دوره‌ای آمریکا پایان خواهد یافت.

دونالد ترامپ پیش از عزیمت به سمت شهر دالاس برای شرکت در اجلاس حزب جمهوری‌خواه به خبرنگاران گفت: «فکر می‌کنم جنگ بلافاصله بعد از انتخابات تمام خواهد شد. چون آن‌ها (ایران) دیگر نمی‌توانند دوام بیاورند».
ترامپ درباره وضعیت ایران افزود: «آن‌ها مستأصل هستند و تلاش می‌کنند بر انتخابات تأثیر بگذارند».

ترامپ در پاسخ به پرسشی درباره حملات گسترده طرفین در اطراف تنگهٔ هرمز گفت: «حملات توسط ما انجام شد. ما ۹ نفتکش آن‌ها را زدیم. قرار است حملات بیشتری انجام شود».
