The UK Maritime Trade Operations Center reported on Thursday afternoon Washington time that several "projectiles" struck two vessels near the coast of Oman.

According to the report, these incidents occurred four nautical miles west of the city of Khasab, in the Musandam Governorate of Oman.

The report states that the captain of one vessel reported witnessing four unidentified projectiles hitting two unidentified vessels. Following these strikes, one of the vessels caught fire, and there is no information available regarding the status of the second vessel.

Omani authorities are investigating the incident.

مرکز عملیات تجارت دریایی بریتانیا، یوکی‌ام‌تی‌او، عصر پنج‌شنبه به وقت واشنگتن از برخورد چند «پرتابه» به دو شناور در نزدیکی سواحل عمان خبر داد.

بر اساس این گزارش، این برخوردها در فاصله چهار مایل دریایی غرب شهر خصب، در استان مسندم عمان، روی داده است.

طبق این گزارش، کاپیتان یک شناور اعلام کرد که شاهد آن بود که چهار پرتابه نامشخص به دو شناور نامشخص اصابت کردند.
در پی این اصابت‌ها، یکی از شناورها دچار آتش‌سوزی شد و از وضعیت شناور دوم اطلاعی در دست نیست.

مقامات عمانی در حال بررسی این واقعه هستند.
