Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, wrote in a video posted on the social media platform X : "Tonight we destroyed the largest Iranian base outside of Iran, namely the tunnels of Ali al-Taher in Lebanon. We are completing our mission. Happy New Year!"

Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it had destroyed Hezbollah's tunnel network in the Ali al-Taher heights using over 1,100 tons of explosives. According to the army, in these tunnels, which are reported to be over two kilometers long, dozens of missiles, rockets, drones, light weapons, anti-tank missiles, hundreds of mines, and large quantities of explosives were discovered.

According to the Israeli army, with the destruction of this site, the operation to demolish a network consisting of eight tunnels with a total length of 5.4 kilometers in the Ali al-Taher area and the Shakif Castle has been completed.

پیش‌تر ارتش اسرائیل اعلام کرد شبکه تونلی حزب‌الله در ارتفاعات علی‌الطاهر را با استفاده از بیش از هزار و ۱۰۰ تن مواد منفجره تخریب کرده است.
به گفته ارتش، در این تونل‌ها که طول آن‌ها بیش از دو کیلومتر اعلام شده، ده‌ها موشک، راکت، پهپاد، سلاح‌های سبک، موشک‌های ضدزره، صدها مین و مقادیر زیادی مواد منفجره کشف شده است.

بر اساس اعلام ارتش اسرائیل، با انهدام این سایت، عملیات تخریب شبکه‌ای متشکل از هشت تونل به طول مجموع ۵٫۴ کیلومتر در منطقه علی‌الطاهر و قلعه شقیف تکمیل شده است.
