Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said that the Islamic Republic is likely responsible for the airstrike on Saudi Arabia that led to the shutdown of the East-West pipeline.

On Saturday in Dublin, in response to reporters' questions about Iran's responsibility, he said: "I think they are responsible, probably themselves."

Trump added that he had spoken with Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and referred to him as a "good friend."

The U.S. President also mentioned that the Houthis aligned with the Islamic Republic have contacted his administration and stated that they do not want the U.S. to become directly involved in the conflict.

He said: "They would much prefer that we not get involved and are allowing more vessels to pass. There is only one country they are not happy with, and we will take care of it."

دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا، گفت احتمالاً جمهوری اسلامی مسئول حمله هوایی به عربستان سعودی بوده که به تعطیلی خط لوله شرق به غرب انجامید.

او روز شنبه در دوبلین و در پاسخ به پرسش خبرنگاران درباره مسئولیت ایران گفت: «فکر می‌کنم مسئول‌اند، احتمالاً خودشان‌اند.»

ترامپ افزود با محمد بن سلمان، ولیعهد عربستان، گفت‌وگو کرده و او را «دوست خوب» خواند.

رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا همچنین گفت حوثی‌های همسو با جمهوری اسلامی با دولت او تماس گرفته‌اند و اعلام کرده‌اند نمی‌خواهند آمریکا مستقیماً وارد درگیری شود.

او گفت: «آنها به‌مراتب ترجیح می‌دهند ما درگیر نباشیم و بیشتر شناورها را عبور می‌دهند. فقط یک کشور هست که از آن راضی نیستند و ترتیبش را می‌دهیم.»
