The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday, September 21, that information from Tehran indicates that the U.S. missile attack on Lamerd was also carried out from the territory of one of the countries bordering the southern Gulf.
Ismail Baqaei, in an interview with Iranian state media, stated that this matter shows that the U.S. has used the territory and national sovereignty of other countries to attack Iran "in violation of all rules and principles of international law."

He emphasized that Iranians will pursue this issue.
Baqaei also mentioned that some neighboring countries, contrary to the "principle of good neighborliness," have allowed their territory to be used for attacks on Iran and "committing war crimes against the people."

On Esfand 9, 1404, a sports hall in Lamerd, Fars, was attacked by two missiles, resulting in the deaths of at least 21 people, including 4 children, and injuring 100 others. This attack occurred shortly after an airstrike on the Shajareh Tayebeh school in Minab.

سخنگوی وزارت امور خارجه، روز شنبه ۲۱ شهریور ماه گفت اطلاعات تهران نشان می‌دهد حمله موشکی آمریکا به لامرد از خاک یکی از کشورهای حاشیه جنوبی خلیج فارس نیز انجام شده است.
اسماعیل بقایی در گفتگو با رسانه‌های دولتی ایران گفت این موضوع نشان می‌دهد آمریکا «برخلاف همه قواعد و اصول حقوق بین‌الملل» از خاک و حاکمیت ملی کشورهای دیگر برای حمله به ایران استفاده کرده است.

او تاکید کرد ایرانیان این موضوع را پیگیری خواهند کرد.
بقایی همچنین گفت برخی کشورهای همسایه، برخلاف «اصل حسن همجواری»، اجازه داده‌اند از قلمرو آنها برای حمله به ایران و «ارتکاب جنایت جنگی علیه مردم» استفاده شود.

در نهم اسفند ۱۴۰۴، یک سالن ورزشی در لامرد فارس، مورد حمله دو موشک قرار گرفت که منجر به کشته شدن حداقل ۲۱ نفر، از جمله ۴ کودک، و زخمی شدن ۱۰۰ نفر شد. این حمله اندکی پس از حمله هوایی به مدرسه شجره طیبه میناب رخ داد.
