Trump pointed out that the prices of other goods are sharply decreasing and added that oil prices will plummet like a stone as soon as the military conflict with Iran ends—which he claims is not far off.

During Biden's presidency, following the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war and energy market crises, oil prices reached their highest level in spring 2022, with Brent crude rising to about $127 per barrel.

دونالد ترامپ در پیامی در شبکه اجتماعی تروث سوشال تاکید کرد که افزایش قیمت‌ها در سراسر آمریکا ناشی از سیاست‌های جو بایدن و دولت او بوده است.
او نوشت که حتی بهای نفت نیز در دوران بایدن بالاتر از سطح کنونی بوده و دولت او مانع از دستیابی جمهوری اسلامی ایران به سلاح هسته‌ای نیز شده است.

ترامپ با اشاره به اینکه قیمت سایر کالاها به شدت در حال کاهش است، افزود که بهای نفت نیز به محض پایان یافتن درگیری نظامی با ایران—که به گفته وی زمان زیادی تا آن باقی نمانده است—مانند یک سنگ سقوط خواهد کرد.

در دوران ریاست‌جمهوری بایدن، به‌دنبال وقوع جنگ روسیه و اوکراین و بحران‌های بازار انرژی، قیمت نفت در بهار ۲۰۲۲ به بالاترین سطح خود رسید؛ به طوری که قیمت نفت برنت تا حدود ۱۲۷ دلار برای هر بشکه افزایش یافت.
