Regarding the news that Tasnim published about the attack on fishing boats:

Axios reported, citing U.S. officials, that the U.S. military destroyed two small Iranian boats on Monday, September 13, 2026, after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attempted to seize a U.S. Navy drone in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Axios, the IRGC forces attempted to capture an unmanned American vessel used for patrolling the Strait of Hormuz with these boats. After this attempt was identified, an American drone fired two missiles at the boats, resulting in their destruction and the deaths of most of the occupants.

Team Hawkins, a spokesperson for CENTCOM, confirmed the Iranian forces' attempt to seize the American vessel, stating that the boats "attempted to capture a U.S. unmanned surface vessel, but they were unsuccessful after a decisive response from CENTCOM forces." He emphasized that the vessel remains under the operational control of the U.S. military.

Meanwhile, Iranian media reported the attack on the two boats as a drone strike on "fishing boats." Axios noted that the two boats were targeted near the port of Kergan and Lark Island in Hormozgan Province. Ahmad Nafisi, the political, security, and social deputy of Hormozgan Province, attributed the attack to the U.S. military and reported the disappearance of several fishermen, as well as the initiation of search and rescue operations.

This incident occurred as the U.S. military is trying to normalize maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz by increasing the movement of commercial vessels. An American official told Axios that the U.S. military and Gulf Arab countries have recently begun allowing oil tankers to transit the strait during the day, whereas these passages were previously mostly conducted at night.

وبسایت اکسیوس به نقل از مقام‌های آمریکایی گزارش داد ارتش ایالات متحده روز دوشنبه ۲۳ شهریور ۱۴۰۵، دو قایق کوچک ایرانی را پس از تلاش نیروهای سپاه پاسداران برای تصرف یک پهپاد نیروی دریایی آمریکا در تنگه هرمز منهدم کرده است.

به گزارش اکسیوس، نیروهای سپاه با استفاده از این قایق‌ها تلاش کردند یک شناور بدون‌سرنشین آمریکایی را که برای گشت‌زنی در تنگه هرمز مورد استفاده قرار می‌گیرد، تصرف کنند.
پس از شناسایی این تلاش، یک پهپاد آمریکایی دو موشک به سمت قایق‌ها شلیک کرد که به انهدام آنها و کشته‌شدن بیشتر سرنشینان منجر شد.

تیم هاوکینز، سخنگوی سنتکام، تلاش نیروهای ایرانی برای تصرف شناور آمریکایی را تایید کرد و گفت این قایق‌ها «تلاش کردند یک شناور سطحی بدون‌سرنشین آمریکا را تصرف کنند، اما پس از واکنش قاطع نیروهای سنتکام موفق نشدند». او تأکید کرد این شناور همچنان تحت کنترل عملیاتی ارتش آمریکا قرار دارد.

این در حالی است که رسانه‌های ایران حمله به دو قایق را به شکل حمله پهپادی به «قایق‌های صیادی» گزارش کرده‌اند.
به نوشته اکسیوس، این دو قایق در نزدیکی بندر کرگان و جزیره لارک در استان هرمزگان هدف قرار گرفتند و احمد نفیسی، معاون سیاسی، امنیتی و اجتماعی استانداری هرمزگان، حمله را به ارتش آمریکا نسبت داده و از مفقود شدن شماری از صیادان و آغاز عملیات جست‌وجو و نجات خبر داده است.

این حادثه در شرایطی رخ داده که ارتش آمریکا تلاش می‌کند با افزایش تردد کشتی‌های تجاری در تنگه هرمز، عبور و مرور دریایی در این مسیر را به وضعیت عادی نزدیک کند.
یک مقام آمریکایی به اکسیوس گفت ارتش آمریکا و کشورهای عربی خلیج فارس در ماه‌های اخیر تردد نفتکش‌ها از تنگه را در طول روز نیز آغاز کرده‌اند، در حالی که پیش‌تر این عبورها عمدتا شبانه انجام می‌شد.
