Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States has reached an agreement with Denmark and Greenland that grants the U.S. permanent control over security and all other needs in Greenland, addressing numerous concerns of the United States. He stated that this agreement will not cost the U.S. anything.

The Danish Prime Minister's office also announced that Greenland, Denmark, and the U.S. are expected to sign an agreement next week to strengthen security in the Arctic and North Atlantic regions.

Trump said, "From now on, no enemy of the U.S. can establish a base, have a military presence, or make sensitive investments in Greenland without our explicit written approval."

U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth also stated, "We will immediately begin the process of establishing a significant military presence in suitable parts of Greenland; there are many suitable areas for this purpose."

ترامپ در تروث‌سوشال اعلام کرد آمریکا با دانمارک و گرینلند به توافقی دست یافته است که کنترل دایمی امنیت و تمامی نیازهای دیگر در گرینلند را در اختیار آمریکا قرار می‌دهد و به تمامی نگرانی‌های متعدد ایالات‌متحده رسیدگی می‌کند. او گفت این توافق هیچ هزینه‌ای برای آمریکا نخواهد داشت.
دفتر نخست‌وزیری دانمارک نیز اعلام کرد انتظار می‌رود که گرینلند، دانمارک و آمریکا هفته آینده توافقی را برای تقویت امنیت در منطقه قطب شمال و اقیانوس اطلس شمالی امضا کنند.
ترامپ گفت: «از این پس هیچ دشمنی از سوی آمریکا نمی‌تواند بدون تایید کتبی صریح ما در گرینلند پایگاه ایجاد کند، حضور نظامی داشته باشد یا سرمایه‌گذاری‌های حساس انجام دهد.»
پیت هگست، وزیر جنگ آمریکا، نیز گفت: «ما بلافاصله روند حضور نظامی گسترده در بخش مناسبی از گرینلند را آغاز خواهیم کرد؛ بخش‌های مناسب زیادی برای این منظور وجود دارند.»
