"Najmeh Amini," an accounting student and one of the detainees from the protests in December 2024, has announced in a voice message from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad that the Revolutionary Court issued a death sentence for her on September 16.

She has called on the United Nations, lawyers, civil activists, and human rights organizations to review her case and take action to ensure her right to a fair trial.

Hengaw had previously reported that she was tried on charges of "assembly and collusion" and "insulting the sacred and the Imams."

Najmeh Amini was arrested on January 31, 2025, during the nationwide protests in December, at Ferdowsi Mall in Mashhad. Amini, 23 years old, is an accounting student and a resident of Mashhad.

«نجمه امینی»، دانشجوی حسابداری و از بازداشت‌شدگان اعتراضات دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴، در پیامی صوتی از زندان وکیل‌آباد مشهد اعلام کرده است که دادگاه انقلاب روز ۲۵ شهریور برای او حکم اعدام صادر کرده است.

او از سازمان ملل متحد، وکلا، فعالان مدنی و نهادهای حقوق‌بشری خواسته است پرونده‌اش را بررسی کنند و برای برخورداری او از حق دادرسی عادلانه اقدام کنند.

هرانا پیش‌تر نوشته بود که او با اتهام‌های «اجتماع و تبانی» و «توهین به مقدسات و ائمه» محاکمه شده است.

نجمه امینی روز ۱۱ بهمن ۱۴۰۴، هم‌زمان با اعتراضات سراسری دی‌ماه، در پاساژ فردوسی مشهد بازداشت شد.
امینی ۲۳ ساله، دانشجوی رشته حسابداری و ساکن مشهد است.
