Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said during a meeting with Andy Burnham, the Prime Minister of Britain, at the United Nations in New York that Tehran and Washington have been in talks on Tuesday as well, adding, "I think an agreement will be reached."

Trump stated, "We have prevented them from obtaining nuclear weapons. We really stopped them. They will not have nuclear weapons, and we will see what happens."

Burnham also mentioned that in his first meeting with Trump, he established a "good connection" with him and that the two sides discussed the Middle East, the Falkland Islands, and trade issues. He told Trump that Britain is ready to play its role in the Middle East.

دونالد ترامپ، رییس‌جمهوری آمریکا، در دیدار با اندی برنهام، نخست‌وزیر بریتانیا، در سازمان ملل در نیویورک گفت تهران و واشینگتن روز سه‌شنبه نیز در حال گفت‌وگو بوده‌اند و افزود: «فکر می‌کنم توافقی حاصل خواهد شد.»

ترامپ گفت: «ما مانع دستیابی آنها به سلاح هسته‌ای شدیم. واقعا جلوی آنها را گرفتیم. آنها سلاح هسته‌ای نخواهند داشت و خواهیم دید چه اتفاقی می‌افتد.»

برنهام نیز گفت در نخستین دیدار خود با ترامپ «ارتباط خوبی» با او برقرار کرده و دو طرف درباره خاورمیانه، جزایر فالکلند و مسائل تجاری گفت‌وگو کرده‌اند.
او خطاب به ترامپ گفت بریتانیا آماده است نقش خود را در خاورمیانه ایفا کند.
