Sky News reports that the British Foreign Secretary told his Iranian counterpart during their meeting that the UK will not tolerate "intimidation, threats, or hostile actions on its soil" from groups affiliated with Iran.
Sky News published this report on Thursday, September 24, citing sources in the British Foreign Office, but official government sources have not yet confirmed or denied it.
Ed Miliband and Abbas Araghchi met on Thursday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry states that Abbas Araghchi criticized the actions of the US and Israel during this meeting, saying that the insecurity in the region and the Strait of Hormuz is a consequence of military attacks by the US and Israel "with the support of some European countries."

وزارت خارجه ایران می‌گوید عباس عراقچی در این دیدار از اقدامات آمریکا و اسرائیل انتقاد کرده و گفته است ناامنی منطقه و تنگه هرمز پیامد حملات نظامی آمریکا و اسرائیل «با حمایت برخی کشورهای اروپایی» است.
