Donald Trump, the President of the United States, released a report from the New York Post on Wednesday night regarding statements made by Scott Basset, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, who said that the economy of the Islamic Republic of Iran will have "nothing to trade" in "about two weeks."
The maritime blockade of Iran's ports has prevented the Islamic Republic from exporting oil by sea. The U.S. dollar has also reached new highs in recent days due to the stunning collapse of the Iranian rial.
Mr. Basset told Fox News that the economy under the blockade of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon, after delivering its last oil shipments, have "nothing to exchange" in about two weeks.
According to the New York Post, Basset assessed in an interview with Fox News that the Islamic Republic, due to the collapse of its economy accelerated by the implementation of "economic expulsion operations," is desperately eager for an agreement and warned that its problems will significantly worsen in the next two weeks.
