The U.S. Treasury Secretary says Iran did not load a single shipment of crude oil in September. Data from tanker tracking companies also shows that no crude oil loading from Iranian ports was recorded this month.

Scott Basset wrote on the social media platform X on Thursday evening, October 1: "Iran loaded zero barrels of crude oil onto tankers in September," adding that the Trump administration is cutting off the "most vital source of revenue" for the Islamic Republic.

Initial tanker tracking data published by Bloomberg, as well as information from companies like Kpler and Vortexa, indicates that no crude oil loading from Iranian ports was recorded throughout September.

This comes as Kpler and Vortexa estimated that crude oil and condensate loading from Iran in August was around 220,000 to 255,000 barrels per day.

Iran continues to deliver some oil that was previously loaded and stored in Asian waters to Chinese buyers, but these reserves are decreasing without new shipments leaving Iran.
