The U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, on Thursday morning, October 8, issued a message on X, calling the statements of one of the commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps regarding the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's complete control over it "incorrect." CENTCOM announced that the movement of vessels carrying commercial goods and energy shipments, including 20 million barrels of crude oil, is ongoing in the Strait of Hormuz and added: "The United States and regional partners clearly have control over the strait."

فرماندهی مرکزی ارتش آمریکا، سنتکام، بامداد پنجشنبه ۱۶ مهر با انتشار پیامی در اکس، اظهارات یکی از فرماندهان سپاه پاسداران درباره بسته بودن تنگه هرمز و کنترل کامل ایران بر آن را «نادرست» خواند.
سنتکام اعلام کرد تردد کشتی‌های حامل کالاهای تجاری و محموله‌های انرژی، از جمله ۲۰ میلیون بشکه نفت خام، در تنگه هرمز جریان دارد و افزود: «ایالات متحده و شرکای منطقه‌ای به‌وضوح کنترل تنگه را در اختیار دارند.»
