The judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the execution of a person in Minab, who was arrested in January 2023 on charges of "running over a police officer on the Minab-Jask road."
On Tuesday, October 21, the judiciary announced this news, referring to the executed individual as "the killer of Jassem Hosseinian, the police officer," but did not disclose his name or provide details about his identity.
The Mizan news agency reports that the death sentence of the accused was appealed to the Supreme Court, and ultimately, it was upheld by this court as well. However, no reports have been published regarding the proceedings of this case or its details.
Since the beginning of the year 2026, this is the 621st recorded and reported execution in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

دستگاه قضایی جمهوری اسلامی ایران از اعدام یک نفر در میناب خبر داد که دی ماه ۱۴۰۲ به اتهام «زیر گرفتن یک مأمور پلیس راه میناب جاسک» بازداشت شده بود.
قوه قضاییه روز سه‌شنبه ۲۱ مهرماه با اعلام این خبر، فرد اعدام‌شده را «قاتل جاسم حسینیان، مأمور پلیس راه» خوانده اما نام او را ذکر نکرده و درباره‌ی هویت او نیز توضیح نداده است.
خبرگزاری میزان می‌گوید حکم اعدام متهم مورد فرجام خواهی در دیوان عالی کشور قرار گرفت و در نهایت در این دیواننیز تأیید شد. با این حال از روند دادرسی این پرونده و جزئیات آن هیچ گزارشی منتشر نشده است.
از آغاز سال ۲۰۲۶ میلادی، این ۶۲۱مین مورد اعدام در جمهوری اسلامی ایران است که ثبت و گزارش می‌شود.
