Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, announced the country's new national security strategy on Sunday; a strategy that emphasizes the prevention of threats and the execution of preemptive strikes.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated that under this strategy, attacking emerging threats will replace the traditional policy of deterring threats and relying on defense.

Netanyahu said that the wars following the October 7, 2023 attack have made a reassessment of Israel's security policy essential.

Following the attack on October 7 three years ago, Israel has conducted military operations in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as strikes against targets in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, and has engaged with Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen.

بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل، روز یکشنبه راهبرد جدید امنیت ملی این کشور را اعلام کرد؛ راهبردی که بر پیشگیری از تهدیدها و انجام حملات پیش‌دستانه تأکید دارد.

دفتر نخست‌وزیری اسرائیل اعلام کرد که بر اساس این راهبرد، حمله به تهدیدهای در حال شکل‌گیری جایگزین سیاست سنتی مهار تهدیدها و اتکا به دفاع خواهد شد.

نتانیاهو گفت جنگ‌های پس از حمله هفتم اکتبر ۲۰۲۳، بازنگری در سیاست امنیتی اسرائیل را ضروری کرده است.

اسرائیل پس از حمله ۱۵ مهر سه سال پیش، علاوه بر عملیات نظامی در نوار غزه و کرانه باختری، به اهدافی در لبنان، سوریه، یمن و ایران حمله کرده و با حماس، حزب‌الله لبنان و حوثی‌های یمن درگیر شده است.
