Two senior security officials of the Islamic Republic told Reuters that Tehran has developed detailed plans to target underwater communication cables in the Persian Gulf, which may be implemented in the event of another attack by the U.S. and Israel on Iran.
The two officials, who requested anonymity, did not provide details about the location and method of potential execution of these attacks, but one of them stated that Iran might also take action to prevent the repair of damaged cables to prolong disruptions in communications, including the internet.
One of these officials warned that in the event of another attack on Iran, "there will be no red lines," and potential targets will include everything from underwater cables to military bases, including secret bases.
