Dr. Nabi Omidi, an associate professor of economics and financial management at Payame Noor University, has been sentenced to 9 years in prison on charges including actions against national security, propaganda against the regime, and participation in the protests of December 2024 in Malekshahi. His sentence has been confirmed and finalized by the appeals court, and expulsion from the university is also one of his supplementary punishments.
