Attack by Basij Forces and Plainclothes Agents on Halloween Organizers in Iranshahr Street, Tehran

On the evening of Friday, November 8, Iranshahr Street in Tehran witnessed the presence of Basij forces and plainclothes agents clashing with citizens, coinciding with a gathering of young people dressed in special Halloween costumes and makeup.

The security forces and plainclothes agents, with a significant presence in the area, blocked the street and entered the gathering place to disperse the young people. According to eyewitness accounts, the forces also shut down cafes on the street, drove customers out, and assaulted several citizens.

One eyewitness described the atmosphere on the street, stating that the plainclothes agents, with their faces covered and armed with sticks and clubs, were stationed in the area and targeted passersby as well.

According to another account from witnesses of the incident, two people were arrested, and the scope of the confrontations was not limited to the young people in Halloween costumes and makeup. This witness reported that families present in the Artists' Park also faced confrontations with the forces.

حمله نیروهای بسیجی و لباس‌شخصی به برگزارکنندگان هالووین در خیابان ایرانشهر تهران

شامگاه جمعه ۸ آبان، خیابان ایرانشهر تهران، هم‌زمان با تجمع جمعی از جوانان با لباس‌ها و گریم‌های ویژه هالووین، شاهد حضور نیروهای بسیجی و لباس‌شخصی و برخورد با شهروندان بود.

نیروهای امنیتی و لباس‌شخصی با حضور گسترده در این محدوده، مسیر خیابان را مسدود کرده و با ورود به محل تجمع، اقدام به متفرق کردن جوانان کردند. بر اساس روایت شاهدان عینی، نیروها همچنین کافه‌های خیابان را تعطیل کرده، مشتریان را از محل بیرون رانده و تعدادی از شهروندان را مورد ضرب‌وشتم قرار داده‌اند.

یکی از شاهدان عینی در توصیف فضای حاکم بر خیابان گفته است نیروهای لباس‌شخصی با صورت‌های پوشیده و مجهز به چوب و چماق در محل مستقر بودند و عابران را نیز هدف برخورد قرار می‌دادند.

بر اساس روایت دیگری از شاهدان این واقعه، دو نفر بازداشت شده‌اند و دامنه برخوردها تنها به جوانانی که با لباس و گریم هالووین در خیابان حضور داشتند محدود نبوده است. به گفته این شاهد، خانواده‌هایی که در پارک هنرمندان حضور داشتند نیز با برخورد نیروها مواجه شدند.
