Qatar's official news agency confirmed that a large liquefied gas carrier from the country was targeted by unknown projectiles while passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Friday evening, November 8, 1405 (October 30, 2026). This attack occurred just as a delegation from Qatar was in Tehran for mediation between the Islamic Republic and the United States.
On Sunday, November 10, the official news agency of Qatar reported, citing the shipping company "Naqilat," that the ship "Al-Maida" was attacked while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the company's statement, none of the crew members were harmed, and the vessel is in a safe condition.
It is still unclear who or which entity is responsible for firing projectiles at this ship.

خبرگزاری رسمی قطر تایید کرد که یک کشتی بزرگ حامل گاز مایع این کشور، شامگاه جمعه ۸آبان۱۴۰۵، هنگام عبور از تنگه هرمز هدف پرتابه‌های ناشناس قرار گرفته است. این حمله درست زمانی رخ داده که هیاتی از قطر برای میانجی‌گری میان جمهوری اسلامی و آمریکا در تهران حضور داشته است.
خبرگزاری رسمی قطر روز یکشنبه ۱۰آبان، به نقل از شرکت کشتیرانی «ناقلات» اعلام کرد که کشتی «المایده» هنگام عبور از تنگه هرمز هدف حمله قرار گرفته است.
بر اساس بیانیه این شرکت، هیچ‌یک از خدمه کشتی آسیب ندیده‌اند و شناور در وضعیت ایمن قرار دارد.
هنوز مشخص نیست چه کسی یا نهادی مسئول شلیک پرتابه‌ها به این کشتی بوده است.
